14th International Children’s Film Festival to commence from January 30

The 14th edition of the International Children’s Film Festival, organised by Children’s Film Society Bangladesh, will commence from January 30. The six-day will be held across three venues where contributors from 37 countries will participate. A total of 179 films have been shortlisted from the submissions to be screened.

The programme will be inaugurated by Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud. The opening ceremony, presided over by eminent filmmaker Morshedul Islam who is also the founder of Children’s Film Society Bangladesh, will be held at Shawkat Osman Auditorium of Sufia Kamal National Public Library at 4 pm on January 30.

The film screenings will begin from the next day at the Shawkat Osman Auditorium of Sufia Kamal National Public Library and continue till February 3. Screenings scheduled at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum and the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will conclude on February 4.

The open for all event has scheduled its film screenings every day at 11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm. However, wearing a mask at the venue is compulsory.
