Day 5: Knowing About Film Festivals

The 14th International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh 2021 has started in Dhaka on Saturday,January 30 under the slogan ” Future in Frames” organized by Children’s Film Society Bangladesh and will continue till February 5. On The fifth day of the festival Wednesday, February 3, films have been screened at National Art Gallery Auditorium, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 11 AM, 2 PM, and 4 PM and at 3 PM at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum. Although there is no entrance fee for watching movies at the festival, this year the coronavirus (Covid-19) and due to this wearing a mask is being considered as a ticket to the film festival, at the time children enjoy the film by following hygiene rules. Visitors of different ages, parents and children and teenagers walked to the festival premises.

Renowned film director of Bangladesh, Abu Shahed Emon held a workshop on Festival Circuits at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum at 11 AM for the young film enthusiasts to recognize them with the exploration of extended presentation of films, development on exposure gain in the international platform and importance of shared and unique experiences.

The screening of the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the day was very special as films of young filmmakers/delegates were showed.6 films in the child filmmakers Section( International), 6 films in Social Competition Section were screened. Two films made by the Teen Film Workshop 5.0 participants also got premiered.

On the sixth day, The juvenile filmmakers will get a chance to meet three respectable freedom fighters respectively Quazi Sajjad Ali Zahir Bir Protik, Mashrukul Haque and Marufa Mashrukul Neera on “Meet the Freedom Fighters” session at Shilpakala Academy and at 3 PM a photography session will be taken by Tauqir Shaik at Sufia Kamal Auditorium of National Museums.
