Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, an intelligent idea man behind the TVC & filmmaking sector in Bangladesh, was born on 1st October 1976 in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh in a middle-class family. He was so much passionate about the film from his very childhood who used to see lots of film during that time. He dreamt of being a filmmaker someday. But his mother pressured him to study in Economics and sent to Pune, India.

He listened to his heart and never left believing what’s on his mind. As he went to India, he didn’t study ‘Economics’, he chooses literature over that to aid his dream of being a renowned filmmaker. But he couldn’t survive within a limited education system. So, he left the study before graduation in pursuing building up a career in the media industry. So, he chooses to come to Dhaka in the midway his study. Returning to the country he worked hard under the Maasranga Production. After having a successful beginning, he was offered for some TVCs and proved his talent in that sector.

He founded a production house named ‘Half Stop Down’, which mainly produces TVCs. At the time when Bangla Cinema passing a troubled situation, the people are not interested in going to cinema halls anymore, film industry falling down with the lack of standard films, Amitabh made his directorial debut with a theatrical feature film ‘Aynabaji’. It played a great role to draw the audience’s’ attention, eventually they return to the cinema hall to see this film. Amitabh proved that if standard films are made, people are bound to come to the cinema hall. ‘Aynabaji’ created a strong stir in the box office. He has directed more than thousand TVCs.
