I am Abul Kalam Azad. I live in Rajshahi, and I was born in 1st December 1994. I was raised in Rajshahi but I was actually born in Chapai Nawabganj. I used to study in Madrasa School and now I study in National Institute of Engineering and Technology.
I love machines and technology but the innovative world of films, a world where I can bring my imagination to reality always attracted me more. I was mesmerized by films since my childhood so when I was in school I also participated in theaters.
In 2010 I attended a workshop of Renovate Filmmaker Morshedul Islam which pushed me further into the film world and I made my first film in the year 2011 which was “Chapabul”, then I made another short film called ‘Chaplin Returns’ which took 3rd place in the 5th International Children Film Festival Bangladesh in the year 2012, then my 3rd film was “Be Clean” which was produced in 2013. In all these films I acted as Charlie Chaplin.
I attended many film workshops and the last film workshop was organized by British council and workshop was coordinated by First light. I worked as a film festival coordinator of International Children Film Festival Rajshahi.
My inspiration was and always will Charlie Chaplin, and I intend to make such films which would enlighten everybody’s heart.
