With the slogan Future In Frames, devoted volunteers, film posters, colorful stalls, colorful clothes, excited children, enthusiast filmmakers as well as storytellers and happy faces—the 12th International Children’s Film Festival doesn’t only bring a large number of films for its audience, but also they have brought filmmakers and film enthusiasts together that made the whole venue rejoice.
In the first part of the ceremony, the national anthem and the festival theme song were sung by the young members of Children Film Society and the national flag was hoisted by the guests National Emeritus Professor Anisuzzaman. To brighten up the event, Dr. Hasan Mahmud, MP, honorable Information minister of the Government Of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh attended as the chief guest.
Dr.Hasan Mahmud, MP, Syed Salahuddin Zaki had presented their valuable speech. Additionally, Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, the president of CFS, Munira Morshed Munni, General Secretary, Morshedul Islam, the founder of CFS and the director of the festival, Mohammad Abir Ferdous briefed regarding the festival. Mohammad Abir Ferdous, the enthusiast festival director officially announced the 7-day-long program schedule.
In the last session, the ceremony was followed by the screening of an Indian film ‘5 Rupees’ directed by Piyush Panjuani.
